Posted in Uncategorized on April 19, 2010 by kevinmrt09

In chapter 3 the ting that i remember the most is the, coastal Indians spiritual view on life. What i learned is that they believe that all living things have a spirit and when something goes wrong it is an evil spirit at work. This is important to our states history because the coastal Indians established life here and colonized areas we live in today.

I thought i did very well on my summaries. I think i had enough content to concluded that section butnot too much. If i could change any thing it would be my pictures because i feel like i could have added more detail to them. I learned he had a huge influence on the people of the Arabian peninsula. He changed peoples lives by introducing a new religion for them to live by. I personally prefer quizzes but i think projects like this help us learn more.

“Ten tips for living large in the Arabian Peninsula”

Posted in Uncategorized on December 14, 2009 by kevinmrt09

Alright so you want to travel back in time to the Arabian Peninsula in the year 600 c.e well here are my tips for your survival and having a great time. First you will need a camel if you are traveling in the desert. That camelwill be your life line and water which you will need to store, conserve and purify. Also when moving through the desert you will need to have a herd of animals because food is some of the time scarce but animals always provide food when fed. If you want to live in the oasis here are some tips for you! Dig wells into the ground and you are sure to find water which you will neeed to survive. Begin farming when you arrive so you will have crops to feed your family. You can use the date palm tree for just about anything: food, firewood, thatch roofs, and irrigation pipes. If you want to live in the coastal plains you will need to trade over seas. Last but not least if you want to live in the mountains you will need to build terraces to retain water, grow crops and have level building areas. Speaking of building you will need to build your houses out of mud bricks because there are no date palms. Finally the land in the mountains isn’t that fertile so you will need to use ash from cooking fires and animal manure to make it so your crops grow bigger and faster. Well those were my tips for living large in the Arabian Peninsula and this was Kevin Pusich from time travel magazine signing off.

I think the rule that we can’t use ipods during lunch is unfair because as long as we are listening to adults/other people when we are supposed to we should be able to use them. Also the rule that we can’t wear hats is unfair because most hats are not a distraction and as long as they are above the eyes there really is nothing wrong with wearing them. They are like any other piece of clothing that you wear, hats hide hair and other clothing cover skin.
